Zebra Shades

Modernist light, precisely metered — a darkroom dial for the contemporary home.

Alternating sheer and opaque bands let you tune light like a photographer. A favorite for modernist homes from Miami Beach to Sunny Isles.

Zebra shades operate like roller shades but offer something rollers can't — continuous variable light control without fully obscuring the view. Raise one band-pair for privacy, lower for clarity, anything in between for filtered afternoon sun. Motorized or corded, with cassette headers or exposed brackets, in grays, creams, and linen weaves.

Options & Variants

Classic Zebra

Light-filtering sheer bands alternated with opaque bands — the original formulation.

Blackout Zebra

Engineered for near-total darkening when the opaque bands are aligned.

Motorized

App and voice control via Somfy, Lutron, and Hunter Douglas PowerView.

Why it matters

The difference is in the last ten percent.

Continuous Control

Unlike slats, zebra bands shift continuously — no click, no detent.

Clean Modern Look

A single plane of horizontal lines reads as architecture in minimal rooms.

Child-Safe Operation

Cordless lift systems eliminate the cord hazard entirely.

Cassette Headers

Headers hide the tube, the fabric, and the brackets — nothing visible but the shade.
